A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Lycianthes aff acapulcensis
Small, pepper looking capsule, but with a very unusual color. about 4.5 cm long, similar to a common spicy pepper the stack looks weak almost like a vine, for sure a member of the Solanaceae. we believe it is wild as we have not see something like this before.
understory, secondary grows.
seen at 1100 meters over sea level.we plan to collect the seeds and grow some in a nursery, to propagate it, as this is the only plant know in the area

Buenas tardes soy de El Salvador y en mi patio ha nacido una planta muy parecida, como puedo hacer para identificar si es la misma de su fotografía
Thanks for following this post, a friend was able to collect seeds, I planted 3 of them but no positive results.

Wonder how the pod looked like inside,
I know this is an old post but this is a very astonishing find.
No Machi, this is the main color.
Has the color been enhanced at all?
I hope you find out what this is and have success growing them as well! I have never seen anything like that.
Thanks, it is something new for us.
Wow! Cool spotting! Love the cobalt blue color! Hope the propagation goes well.
