Brewer's Blackbird

Euphagus cyanocephalus

Description:

Observed between 3:00PM - 5:30PM. Slightly iridescent feathers, and light eye ring. Appears to have been an adult male.

Habitat:

Urban park, on a paved road. It was wading in a small gutter creek near the coast/parking lot across the street from the Exploratorium/Palace of Fine Arts. Weather was mild and warm, with clear skies.

Notes:

Didn't appear to be troubled by passersby, cars, or bicycles. Other blackbirds were also within 3-4 feet, also hopping in the water and dead leaves.
