Hakea laurina
A very attractive spherical flower cluster with bright pink petals and white pins terminating in yellow tips.
A popular garden plant worldwide originates from a small coastal region of Western Ausrtralia.
The last two pics show the tree is very sick with black spotted fungus and the trunk core is damaged. =(

Thanks argybee and reiaze.
Great pictures! Thanks for posting them! I've never seen this type of flower before.
It is the 'normal' time for flowers anyway isn't it? I'll put our youngster up.
And the tree is often struggling and sickly. This tree was very ill (I'll add another pic) and maybe explains the very strong flowering.
Beautiful flowers. It's a pity they don't seem to last very long.
