Hibiscus

Hibiscus sabdariffa L.

Description:

Hibiscus plants grow about 6 feet tall, 6 feet wide and has a medium sized glossy green leaves with large flowers of tropical appearance. The flowers occurs at the end of the branches and have a long, sweet fragrance. The colors come in pink, red, white, orange, maroon, salmon, purple, or yellow. Hibiscus flowers are all similar because of they are conspicuous, trumpet shaped with five or more petals. The size varies from a 2 inch diameter blossom to a 10 -12 inch.

Habitat:

It grows on it's own subtropic and tropic regions of the world, ranging from 30 degrees both latitude to 30 degrees south latitude. The common places are Europe and United States if America. The regions that reach 12 degrees Celsius, hibiscus cannot live.
