This Firewheel has recovered enough from too early a mowing and is starting to set its seed. Soon it will be a puffball much like a dandelion.
This meadow is in a riparian area by Lake Lewisville, Tx and was recently mowed. The wildflowers are trying to recover, bloom and reseed.
