I came across a small metallic green fly and was able to snap a macro photo with my iPhone olloclip.

Habitat:

Urban, NYC

Notes:

I was using my iPhone olloclip and couldn't believe this fly stood still for so long.

This is a species of Blow Fly. Most likely a Common Green Bottle Fly, but several of these flies look very similar. Check here:http://bugguide.net/node/view/53775
