Striated Grassbird

Megalurus palustris

Description:

This large Old World warbler is the size of a blackbird or slightly smaller; mainly dust-brown to brown. Backs are striated black, and it sports a long tail.

Habitat:

Observed in a pretty much urban setting of periphery of Cox's Bazar, close to beaches and hotels. In between beaches and the main street, there is a number of small agricultural fields (rice/paddy, vegetables), numerous ponds and some marshy lands.
