Buteo regalis
This is a female Red-tailed Hawk, In the second photo she is getting feisty for her meal!
Mountain Ranges, Forests and by smaller bodies of water (lakes, streams ..etc)
She has been a resident of the Wild Life Images Rehabilitation Center for over a decade now. She is very well loved and taken care of.
Jessica, that is a gorgeous Ferruginous Hawk! She's beautiful!! They're the largest hawk in the US...they have dark "pants" and a white chest...they're very "lippy" - very eagle-ish.
I like the black and white first photo. This is probably the first B/W photo I've seen on Project Noah. What a nice image! I like the other 2 photos as well. Nice spotting, Jessica!
