Bald Eagle - juvenile

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Possibly from the local nest, this juvenile looks like a bird of the year. Compare to the 3rd year Bald Eagle spotting which has much more white on its plumage:

Katzie Nature dike at Pitt Lake, BC. Marches, slough, lake, mixed forest, lots of wintering ducks to feed on. Westcoast temperate rainforest.
