Eupterote sp.
This lovely moth had a wingspan of 10 cm (3.9 inches).
Hills overlooking Manila.
Could anyone confirm: this is a Monkey Moth (Eupterote sp.) rather than an Emperor Moth (Syntherata janetta)? Thanks!
@ bayucca: Just realized that I spotted this species just under a year ago, but gave it the ID of Emperor Moth (Syntherata janetta), see http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/689...... Was that actually the wrong ID after all?
Thank you bayucca!!! :-)
From all the monkeys I have seen I would say yes, Monkey Moth, Eupterote sp.
