American Alligator

Alligator mississippiensis

Description:

One of the largest reptiles in the world and an able hunter in the water. Alligators are protected and have been on the decline in the wild, but are still easily found in Central Florida. This was a medium sized alligator nearing 8 feet long.

Habitat:

Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland, FL.
