Two-striped planthopper (nymphs)

Acanalonia bivittata

Description:

3 mm long hopper nymphs with crazy 'tails'. I found these two about 15' apart & assume they are variations or different instars of the same species. The second one (last 2 photos) was slightly larger, darker & with shorter 'tails'

Habitat:

Woodland edge of wildlife habitat.
