This well camouflaged butterfly was busy feeding on the nectar of tea tree and not concerned with flying away or displaying its brighter upper wing colors.

Habitat:

roadside flowering ti-tree

Notes:

Four walking legs identifies this insect as a nymphalidae (subfamily). They are easiest to shoot when they are distracted by feeding or mating.
