White acacia leaf beetle

Dicranosterna circe

Description:

A very rotund leaf beetle from tropical latitudes with two humeral spots. This insect is very energetic and will not stop for a moment. They specialize on Acacia, as do the entire genus of Dicranosterna, A second specimen demonstrates some color variation.

Habitat:

On broad leafed Acacia

Notes:

I cropped the blemish on its apex.
Is the orange form common?.
I notice MacCristiansen has listed an orange one.
