Neotropical Green Anole

Norops biporcatus

Description:

Body length around 30cm. A diurnal, arboreal lizard that we always like to see because of its love of large ants as a food source.

Habitat:

Edge of lowland wet forest, Barra del Colorado Wildlife Refuge, near Cano Palma

Notes:

These photos were taken at dawn and the colour change (completely backwards!) from brown to green, occurred as the sun started to hit the forest edge.
