Polyphemus Moth

Antheraea polyphemus

Description:

Beautiful, large moth found near the garden. It may have been injured, as it didn't seem to be able to fly. Once it got frightened and flashed its eyespots, it also lifted its front legs in the air and started to vibrate its whole body. I'm assuming this is part of it's attempt to scare off predators? Pretty interesting creature!
