Female Green Wing Teals do not show much green at all only on their wing a little. I know ducks because I shoot them every fall here in Michigan. I hunt ducks and you need to know what your shooting at. ;)

No usually female mallards you can see the bars on the wings also it doesn't have the yellowinsh bill. So yes it is a teal of some sort.

How large would you say this duck was? I could see it as a Green- or Blue-winged Teal hen, but without an unobstructed view of the rump or face, it will be hard to tell.
