Bryophyllum daigremontianum
Two individual plants, the larger ~ 9 inches tall, with layers of four long thick v-shaped leaves symmetrically spaced around a sturdy central stalk. The upper surfaces of the leaves are light green. The undersides are pale yellow with dark brown spots. The leaf edges are serrated.
Leeward side of semi-arid windward tropical insular ridge of mixed shrubland and grassland. Original ecosystem modified by long-term human presence.
Spotted along the access road connecting a parking lot off of Kalanianaole Highway with the Makapuu Point light and nearby lookouts--near the southeasternmost point of Oahu.
Thanks for the ID ceherzog. I agree and have edited the spotting accordingly.
