Three-toed albino weevil

Description:

Brilliant white body and head with a few distinct spots. Turqoise arms (never seen that color in nature before) and biege mouth area and feet. I think it is from the family Curculionidae. Please correct me!

Habitat:

In the Amazon forest outside of Puerto Nariño, a small community which is 4 hours upriver from Leticia, Colombia.

Notes:

See a more recent one I spotted outside of Medellín, Colombia: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/115...

Thanks everyone! It's nice to see people (almost) as enthusiastic as I was when I first saw this guy. My heart stopped.

I was blown away by his color, too. How in the world does that help him in nature? Sitting all out in the open the way he was.
