Anthela excellens
This beautiful pale green male anthelid had a wing span of about 50 mm. A thin deep reddish-brown line through both fore wings from costa to the inner margins. Similar but a dark straight line and a zigzag were seen on hind wings as in most anthelids.
The head and legs of this species were grey giving it it's common name. The feathery antennae were brown.
Attracted to night lights close to a coastal reserve.
Larvae of this species feed on wattle. The species is said to be variable in colour.
