Hi 20eshipler, I took a liberty to correct the ID of the bird on your spotting, and have changed it from Caroline chickadee (Poceile carolinensis, belonging to Tits family - Paridae) to House sparrow (Passer domesticus, Sparrow family Passeridae). You can see the difference by the shape of the bill - tits have a small and fine beak, and catch insects; sparrows have a more massive bill, meant to grind seed.
