Philodromus rufus

Description:

About 4-5 millimeters in body length, colored as shown. Note second pair of legs is longest, which helps identify it to family-level (Philodromidae).

Habitat:

Found on exterior wall of building at Lewis & Clark Law School. Surrounding habitat is mostly dense coniferous forest: Douglas fir, Western Red Cedar, maples, alder, ferns, blackberry canes.

Notes:

This is the subspecies Philodromus rufus pacificus.
