Small perching duck. Kohl-lined eyes. The dark stripe through eyes is indicative of eclipse plumage.White head.The male has a white head, neck and underparts, dark glossy green upperparts. Females have a white eyebrow.
Freshwater lake called Santragachi Jheel, near Satragachi railway station.
