Weaver Ants on Woven Tea Leaves

Description:

Red ant nest built by bending tea leaves.

Habitat:

Tea bush. Warm place.

Notes:

While photographing some evening browns spotted these red ants fiercely guarding their nest on a tea bush, at a tea garden, Dudhey River village, near Mirik in Darjeeling District.
