Eyelash Cup, Scutellinia scutellata

Description:

Teeny tiny flattish cups of orange with eyelashes around the rim.

Habitat:

These were clustered on a stump, the same stump in Prospect Park that has produced mica inky caps, fawn mushrooms, early spring Entoloma (I think) and these eyelash cups, since April. i wonder what else this stump will produce as the seasons pass. Definitely a stump to look out for in Prospect Park!!

Notes:

Couldn't even see the hairs along the edge until taking a photo of it, they're that small!
