thank you so much, Reiko,Dilan, Little Lokelani,Doren,Jolly,Gator and Stacy. Jolly that really is so true. It was really hungry and taking all measures to protect it's catch from being snatched away.Looks like another tactic to secure the prey was to lodge it's claw into it.
The rains have begun. With each season comes something new!! These hawks love the rains. i also saw a few more new spots. I heard the killdeers!! Really sweet.,

Robby ,most of the time the meal was covered. When i had a glimpse , i saw it being pulled to pieces and eaten.Could be a squirrel or a mouse.
