Pieridae; Coliadinae; Catopsilia pyranthe pyranthe Linnaeus 1758. This Mottled Emigrant appears to be a male, according to pictures in Philippine Lepidoptera. "The Coliadinae is a Group of butterflies in the family Pieridae (order Lepidoptera) that are bright yellow or orange and have a wingspan of 35 to 60 mm (1.5 to 2.5 inches). Habitat:

This Mottled Emigrant was hyper-active, flying all over our front garden, stopping and resting only for moments on the fence, the plants and even the wall.
