That's what makes them so frustrating some days, ArgyBee. I'm still looking for a real 'fairy ring' this season.
That's great IDing auntnance123. I'm impressed with the differences between fungi in various parts of the world. So often they may look the same but end up being different.

They are very similar but the largest of these was 15cm rather than the 6cm of the Lepiota cristata.
or maybe Lepiota cristata?
