Description:

This plant is included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 2.3 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA; common elsewhere). It is less than 2 feet tall and has red, dense stamens. The leaves are bipinnate.

Habitat:

Native plant growing in Creosote Bush Scrub at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

Notes:

Aka False Mesquite, Mock Mesquite and Mesquitella.
