Quite a master at blending in with his surroundings! Fortunately, we didn't mistake him for a rock and step on him as we marched down a hiking trail, but he was so timid and wouldn't allow for a nicer shot.
Thank you cormoros, I was able to do a bit of investigating thanks to that tip to unearth the genus. :)
