This genus of plants contains about 280 species that range in height from .3–1.5 m (0.98–4.9 ft). These were at the shorter end of that range. Flowers are blue; leaves are palmately divided into 5–28 leaflets.

Habitat:

Spread widely through a number of different habitats and across both northern and southern hemispheres.
