Passer domesticus
Small bird, about 15mm, brown, spotted in a tree in Salou, Catalunya. Maybe a Spanish Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis) or House Sparrow (Passer domesticus).
Mediterranean forests
For females, the Spanish Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis) is usually impossible to separate from the House Sparrow (Passer domesticus). There's sometimes a hint of grey streaking on whiter underparts, which can't really be seen here. To further complicate things both species can hybridize.
