Small bird, about 15mm, brown, spotted in a tree in Salou, Catalunya. Maybe a Spanish Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis) or House Sparrow (Passer domesticus).

For females, the Spanish Sparrow (Passer hispaniolensis) is usually impossible to separate from the House Sparrow (Passer domesticus). There's sometimes a hint of grey streaking on whiter underparts, which can't really be seen here. To further complicate things both species can hybridize.
