Rufous Fantail

Rhipidura rufifrons

Description:

This is my 400th spotting! This beautiful little bird does not stay still for even a moment! He's been hanging around my house for a few weeks now, my husband complaining about his little 'squeeeks' outside our windows. Today I managed to only capture a few photos....if only he'd sit still! :)

Thanks so much Martin! I'm so thrilled still to be part of this community. My aim is to document every single living thing in my local environment & to encourage those around me to start taking in the beautify that surrounds them. It's working already :)) I love your story about this bird. What a beautiful memory. I'd really love to see some chicks, they'd be incredibly cute I'd bet! My husband was actually excited to finally see what was making all the noise....so my love of nature is rubbing off on him too! Mission accomplished ;)

Congratulations Leanne!!! We love your work and 400 contributions. This is one special bird for me too. I clearly recall finding a nest of chicks well hidden in an apple tree outside my boyhood bedroom window. This experience is one of my rich memories of fascination for nature. Tell your husband they may be trying to tell him something, and there will soon be more =)

First two shots are excellent great job... Leanne..!!
Third shot must be at front where you got its tail spread as Fan...
Great spotting all the way.. These tiny dark cuties are tough to spot...so this is very precious for Project Noah..!!
