American Alligator

Alligator mississippiensis

Description:

One of the largest reptiles in the world. These were medium sized alligators somewhere around 8 feet long.

Habitat:

Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland, FL.

Notes:

Nowhere in the world like Central and Southern Florida for alligator viewing, and this reserve is one of the best. You get to walk among them with no actual separation at all. We saw probably 20 or so today, but these two were the largest.
