Description:

Ficaria verna, s a hairless perennial, commonly known as lesser celandine. It has fleshy dark green, heart-shaped leaves and distinctive flowers with bright yellow, glossy petals. It prefers bare, damp ground and it was spotted growing in a mountain rivulet riverbed, near Makrynitsa village, Pelion mountain, Greece.
