I believe this is a subspecies of clover. There are hundreds of variety of clover throughout the world, some are used for farming / livestock feed, others are wild and many cultivar are distributed worldwide for garden/herbal uses. The stem coloration is what gives this away as a defined subspecies that has the distinct purple coloration.

I think it is three leaf clover that discoloured due to frost.
