Description:

Adults generally have gray heads, necks, and breasts, gray or brown backs amd wings, and a white belly. They are 13 to 17.5 cm long and have a 18 to 25 cm wingspan.

Habitat:

This bitd is usually found across much of temperate North America and in summer ranges far into the Arctic

Are you sure it's a house finch? The pictures aren't clear, but it almost looks like a Dark-eyed Junco.
