Black jewel spider

Austracantha minax

Description:

A small shiny black orb spider with spiny tubercules on the abdomen.

Notes:

Not sure if this jewel spider is the same as the yellow 'christmas spider' or a different species. Update. There is one species only, this is an uncommon melanic form.
