Felicidades Constanza, tu Amancay es nuestra "Spotting of the Day":
"We travel to South America today with these gorgeous Peruvian lilies (Alstroemeria aurea) as our Spotting of the Day! Plants in the genus Alstroemeria are all native to South America, although they have become naturalized and are considered invasive in other parts of the world including the USA, New Zealand and Australia. The genus Alstroemeria was named by Linnaeus himself after one of his students, Clas Alströmer. This species is found in Chile, Argentina and Peru, and is known as 'amancay dorado' in Spanish".
