Black Bee Fly

Anthrax dolabratus

Description:

About 14mm long. Strong wing patterns in black and clear. Truncated abdomen = male? When still it waved it's wings about similar to boatman fly but this is much bigger.

Habitat:

Exploring retaining wall in suburban back yard.
