A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
A large praying mantis, about 40 - 80mm in length, camouflaging against a large leaf waiting for preys. It started swaying from side to side when I approached it. This one looks like a female. Beautiful white stripes on it's wings, it's 4 pairs of large white spikes (spines) on it's raptorial forelegs are very noticeable. Gildella sp.
On a Lauraceae plant leaf in Rainforest Discovery Center (RDC), Sandakan, Sabah.
