Tall wading birds. Light pink with pink bills edged in black. Thin pink legs. Wings have streaks of darker pink.For me this was the culmination of a dream...having seen fabulous shots of these birds on calendars for so many years to finally sight them...the pink contrasted against the blues of the sky and the sea...!!!
Little Rann of Kutch...
we saw these by chance as we were driving down the highway...at other places (Jamnagar, Khijidiya Bird sanctuary or even, at Thol bird sanctuary near Ahmedabad . .all in Gujarat.) these were too far away for my camera's zoom.
