Parawixia sp.
Spider .Large body. Approx. 3/4"- 1" in length. Mottled cream and brown along sides, a brown panel with a cream wavy edge on back has a red spot on either side of the panel. 2 red eyes?. 4 dark eyes with a red dot in the centre of the four. Long legs. Hairy.
Behind peeling bark on a unidentified tree in a mixed fruit plantation
I was removing some bark to take a better look at it and this spider was behind it. It did'nt move at all when I photographed it, and remained motionless when I put it back on the tree.

Great find and set of images.I think this is a Garden spider ---- Parawixia sp.
It's the first time I have seen a spider this big EnvUnlimited, apart from the Orb Weaver, and I saw a very well fed specimen of one of those this morning when I was out walking :)
