Description:

Most are herbaceous perennial plants 1.5 - 5 feet tall. They have compound, deeply lobed leaves, and large, often fragrant flowers, ranging from red to white or yellow, in late spring and early summer.

Habitat:

It occurs in the wild as well as in gardens. It is a perennial plant. I spotted this at Quebec City, Canada, during a tour of the Le Citadel.
