Tricolored Heron

Description:

this Tricolored Heron was trying to fish and was using his wings to see better in the water and eliminate the glare from the sun.

Habitat:

this Tricolored Heron was fishing at a fresh and salt water lagoon. Tricolored heron's breeding habitat is sub-tropical swamps. It nests in colonies, often with other herons, usually on platforms of sticks in trees or shrubs. In each clutch, 3–7 eggs are typically laid.
