Jemma - Actually, what I have been doing, and I'm not a twitter or tweeter or whatever it is, I just did a search on Hamilton Birding (near my area) and I found a twitter group for that. They give up to date info on bird sightings and you can even put it out there that you are looking for an owl. You don't need to create an account if you only want to see they're sightings, only if you wan to post.

Maybe i will check a cemetery out? It is quiet there and maybe that is what attracts owls!

Jemma - try this link link http://ebird.org/content/ebird/, maybe you can find one with the help of other birders in your area.

Wow, that is so great - I'd be in heaven having one in my yard! Currently we have Snowies in the area - course they are just far enough out for me not to get a decent shot of one. Thanks for sharing for great shot!

I had one come and spend 3 winters in the Flicker box I put up in the yard. They are such fun to watch. Thanks for sharing yours :)
