Masked Shrew

Sorex Cinereus

Description:

Small shrew with brown uppers and light under side. Long thin nose, and tail approximately 1/3 the body length.

Habitat:

North American Woods, meadows, savannas, prairies. Requires moist ground with litter or cover due to its fossorial nature.

Notes:

Also known as the Masked Shrew. Although usually nocturnal, this organism will change it's activity period based on the weather.
