Yellow Lady's Slippers

Cypripedium parviflorum

Description:

Large vibrant yellow pouch-shaped flower. Several in a grouping. They seem to fit the description of the greater yellow lady's slipper (var. pubescens), as the flowers were large in size, around the 2 inch length.

Habitat:

In Itasca State Park in Minnesota's Northwoods, at a crossroads of the North Country Trail, in a clearing.
