Spotting

Description:

Plant small <2 cm. Stem cherry-red, leaves arranged sparing around the stem. median leaf cells elongate-hexagonal , about 30um.

Habitat:

dry mineral soil in sheltered rock overhang. Local geology is Shuksan green Schist. found in Hidden Creek drainage at edge of North Cascades NP at 2800'.

Notes:

I keyed this specimen out to Pohlia vexans, however due to the lack of sexual material at hand, my ID is uncertain.
