Flea Beetle

Description:

Tiny Flea Beetle of about 2 mm in length. The elytra are maroon-brown and the head and thorax are orange. These little beetles can reach very large populations and skeletonize entire bushes. The hind femora are enlarged for jumping. Family Chrysomelidae.

Habitat:

Chorreadero Waterfall Park, Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico.
